Environmental Objectives and Targets Achieved
We operate under the following policy:
“TAMRON recognizes that global environmental issues are shared by all humanity, endeavors to reduce its impact on and conserve the environment, and contributes to the development of a sustainable society in harmony with the environment.”
We will contribute to the global environment through the conservation of biodiversity and efficient use of resources and energy through our business.
Management system of Environment
Important matters and targets determined by the CSR Committee are managed by each sustainability division. For the “Environment” theme, the Sub-Committees (Waste Reduction, Eco-friendly Design & Production, and CO2 Reduction) under the CSR Committee manage specific policies and targets.
In addition, as a manufacturer providing its own products around the world, TAMRON believes that the effective utilization of resources and prevention of environmental pollution are essential and of the utmost importance. For this reason, TAMRON prohibits the relocation of hazardous waste to non-OECD nations in accordance with the Basel Convention, and works to recycle or dispose of such materials within the originating nations.

In response to the Act on Rational Use and Proper Management of Fluorocarbons
In response to the Act on Rational Use and Proper Management of Fluorocarbons, we are striving to grasp the amount of refills and recovery by carrying out simple inspections and regular inspections at target sites that manage Class 1 specified products in accordance with theAct. The amount of fluorocarbon leakage in fiscal 2025 was less than 1,000 tons per year, below the level at which reporting to the government becomes mandatory.
